I am a mediator in southwest Colorado, and I have mediated over six hundred disputes over the past fourteen years. I also served as a guardian ad litem for ten years. My mediation practice includes:
Family law matters
Parenting plan modification
Post decree matters
Dependency and neglect cases
Landlord tenant issues
My unique experience as an attorney, guardian ad litem, and mediator set me apart. I always bring parties back to the best interests of their children. In every divorce, each party has an equal amount of power, and I ensure that parties are heard and respected through this difficult time. As a professional, intelligent, diligent attorney, I can help you get the resolution that is best for you and your family by using years of experience guiding people toward amicable settlements.
Although I am an attorney, I do not give legal advice in mediation. Attorney mediators are held to higher standards than non-attorney mediators in Colorado. For more information on requirements, please review the Model Standards for Colorado Courts.
I now regularly represent foster parents. I also provide restorative justice services for the DA's office, La Plata Youth Services, and Mercy Regional Hospital. My fees remain affordable to provide access to justice in these communities.
I am committed to helping families work out their own agreements with autonomy, and to keep children out of the middle of legal disputes.
